Biography

Norkun Sitthiphong completed both his graduate degrees with Dr. Dwight Bushnell as major professor and then returned to Chiang Mai University in northern Thailand. The faculty selected him to be Dean of Engineering, making him the youngest dean of any university in the Kingdom of Thailand. He held this position for 12 years before serving as vice president for three years.

In September, 2003, he was chosen to serve as the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy for the Kingdom of Thailand in Bangkok. In addition to his regular duties, he serves on the boards of three Thai electric companies as a ministry representative. Norkun's wife, Bularat, teaches at Rajaphat University, and they have two daughters.
